Ms. Samia Chergui

Samia Chergui, Professor in History of Architecture and Heritage at the University of Blida 1, has
collaborated with the Antiquities Coalition as a Subject Matter Expert, working to support the
government of Algeria and the Ministry of Culture on a project to assess and plan a strategy around
digitization and documentation of cultural materials, along with other cultural heritage initiatives. His
responsibilities were to assist with the review of a Photo Guide and database of Algerian cultural
materials, in Arabic, and to make preliminary research on ongoing digitization efforts at Algerian
institutions to include in the final report.
